New Students

Namaste and thank you for your interest in a Yoga Practice.

Teaching Yoga is a great joy and service in my life. Living Yoga and creating a life practice is what I wish to inspire.

My formal teaching is in Anusara Yoga – a physical practice that is heart inspiring and grounded in the Five Universal Principles of Alignment.  I also integrate practices from Hatha Yoga, which combines the physical bodily postures (asana),  breathing techniques (pranayama), sense withdrawal (pratyahara), mental concentration (dharana) and meditation (dyana) with the goal of a healthy body and clear, calm mind.  I inspire teachings and practices of the eight-limb-path Yoga, an eight-step guide to self realization & enlightenment written in the Yoga Sutras over 4,000 years ago.

The Yoga classes I teach are at a basic level, flow with music and provide a steady and comfortable pace.  With the modifications given, classes are appropriate for all levels of experience and physical limitations. Each practice provides a focus on body alignment, deep breathing practices and a goal to meditate as you move.  Kundalini Yoga and Pranayama breathing techniques are additional forms of Yoga to explore as well.

It is recommended to customize your needs, body alignment and sensitivities with a private practice before joining a group practice.

Photos, videos and written instructions of your personal session is provided to deepen your home practice.
